bansman76 Posted January 29, 2014 Author Report Posted January 29, 2014 ok guys I called Kevin and told him what was going on. he said to coat all the O rings in grease then reinstall, that's what he does. ive about decided to pull cylinders off to have them checked( decked if needed) . after looking at top end gasket kits , I see they offer cylinder gaskets for ported cylnders . ive never heard of this but ive never had a set of ported cylinders either lol so do I get gaskets for ported cylinders or not ? thanks for all advice Quote

bansman76 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Report Posted February 1, 2014 Well pulled the cylinders off a few Mins ago and seen that the bottom end on right side is full of coolant. So now what do I do ? Pull motor and take back apart or what ? Quote

bansman76 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Report Posted February 1, 2014 No leakage into transfers but did find that rubber plug on bottom of left cylinder leaks. Will be ordering them tomo !! Cylinders going to shop to be decked tomorrow. Quote

Starwriter Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Rings have an end gap. Any coolant on top of the piston will leak past the rings. You drained the cylinders before you pulled the head off, right? Quote
