athena big bore ?

as i understand these come at 68mm from factory. my question is how many bores do u get out of these and/or what mm can u go up to before resleeving is nessacry?

You don't bore them. They are a plated cyl.

<br /><br />Sometimes if a burn down happens the walls don't get hurt, it will just leave aulm in the bore which can be removed a few ways. If it did infact hurt the cyld wall you will need to have them replated.

do most mechaine shops do replating or do you have to send out to specail places. do they hold up better than normal cylinders?

Call each place or go there websites. Its going to cost more to plate two single cylinders like Athenas then it will be to plate a mono block twin cylinder like a cub.

athenas are known to have plating issues but i think the cylinder itself has potential with a little porting and domes.
