dunerider787 Posted December 12, 2013 Author Report Posted December 12, 2013 And curious to who people would refer? im really wanting to go with wheelman chassis. Quote
Redline Racing Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 I would personally weld the gasket surface. We then fill pockets on deck with epoxy then surface tge deck. If it is over a 10 DM you will need to epoxy bottom case. If done correctly it will last pretty well. I have seen cases where they epoxy the deck. They seem to hold up ok but scares me cleaning gaskets off. Cam Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Lots of great epoxy out there and quite a few qualified builders who can get you set up at a top notch level. Tim at Titan did a DM set up that I saw and it was flawless. Sealed up on the leak down and the domes squished within .001 thou. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 I would not epoxy anything that can be welded. Quote
Zillaguy Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Epoxy does not sound like a wise idea.... If it were mine I would want it tig welded and machined to size... That way it's all aluminum and no epoxy.. That could possibly break off and cause catastrophic engine failure. Quote

dozer Posted December 13, 2013 Report Posted December 13, 2013 i would also prefer welded cases. i have seen pictures of cases welded by wildcard and they looked great. also cam at redline has a reputation for doing great work, his stuff runs really good and id use him without hesitation. Quote
