I go through my entire bike in the winter... Not just the engine.... Check everything, anything that is not perfect, gets tore down and gone through.. I like my bike to be tight and finely tuned, it makes for a much better riding season. Plus if something is out of whack you'll notice it easier, if it's well maintained.

My wife gets mad when I bring stuff in to work on it. She has this crazy idea that the table is only for food. When it's cold outside the kitchen table serves multiple purposes at my house.

LOL Finch reminds me of building my 347 stroker in the living room of my old apt. when I was 20! It was a bitch getting it down 3 flights of stairs! And the neighbors complained about paint fumes from painting the block! I had a fan in the window!

hell my winter teardown is a good purge and park it in the corner..  did that for the last 5 years..
