Maybe Im not use to this thing... Its Cold Out here now.. high 30's low 40's  It still isnt running super clean at idle. I like to never got it started yesterday evening.. Now this evening it took me 10-15 kicks or so this evening.. Seemed to be idle high, like the idle wanted to run away, for a second or two like it does before you run out of gas. i guess it might be lean. compression was about 110 psi. Has plenty of power at WOT. I currently running 25 pilots 2 turns out and 270 mains... Plugs look good. but who knows about idle.. My choke wont stay out which makes it a pain to hold it out and kick it.

I had 27.5's in it but didnt run clean... I may try to go back to them.

So how close are these jets? Say your 2 turns out on a  27.5 pilot then 3/4 turns out on a 25? Whats the best way to tune my idle circuit? Also the idle speed screws (I assume) are the brass one with a jam nut added when they deleted the tors? Also these are run all the way in.... Doesnt seem t have much effect... Maybe im actually on the transition needle some?

IDK engine or mods... It runs strong for sure. Has FMF Gold Series... K&N filter no lid... I plan to add the adjustable timing plate thursday or  Friday... Just happen to be off work...

Some one please give me the best way to tune this idle circuit.   Its like I gotta keep it cleaned out at idle or it blubbers.

if it was fine when it was warm and you didnt rejet for when it got cold that would be your main issue ive never changed my idle setting for weather just the mains

Do you plan on riding in deep water or mud? If not buy some pods and outerwears. You'll prob need a 27.5-30 pilot and 310-320 main 1.5 turns out on air screw middle slot on stock needle in stock carbs.( that's with pods) Get a sync tool from fast. You should also do a compression and leakdown test on the motor IMO

Thanks Guys

I did a better comp test this evening... One is 150 psi, and the other is 140-145 or so... Throttle pinned and kicked till the gauge stopped moving. The quad runs well... I plan to get some pods, just makes it so much easier to pull the carbs.. that air box is a pain for sure.

To set the idle air fuel, get it to is somehow. Once somewhat warmed up, get the air fuel screws to say 1 1/2 turns out. Both equal. Then turn both screws equally in or out half to 1/4 turn at a time until you get the highest possible idle. If you have to turn the screws out past 2 1/2-3 turns you prob are too big. Doubt that's the case. If you're in past 1 turn or so you are prob too small on the pilot. Which would be my guess. Once set it should rev from idle pretty crisp.
