  1. still available? will they fit factory foot peg setup?
  2. looking for a simple headlight upgrade for stock stator banshee.. I have stock lights now.. I occasionally ride in the woods at night..
  3. Stock Carbs yes....
  4. Guy at the shop didnt know what size I needed... Stock carbs I guess.. A part number would be great.. or size carb inlet OD.. What carbs are these exactly?
  5. Thanks Guys I did a better comp test this evening... One is 150 psi, and the other is 140-145 or so... Throttle pinned and kicked till the gauge stopped moving. The quad runs well... I plan to get some pods, just makes it so much easier to pull the carbs.. that air box is a pain for sure.
  6. idk how the qaud was before... i have owned it 10 days. lol it was fat... way fat i do know.. it was 20 deg warmer however...
  7. Maybe Im not use to this thing... Its Cold Out here now.. high 30's low 40's It still isnt running super clean at idle. I like to never got it started yesterday evening.. Now this evening it took me 10-15 kicks or so this evening.. Seemed to be idle high, like the idle wanted to run away, for a second or two like it does before you run out of gas. i guess it might be lean. compression was about 110 psi. Has plenty of power at WOT. I currently running 25 pilots 2 turns out and 270 mains... Plugs look good. but who knows about idle.. My choke wont stay out which makes it a pain to hold it out and kick it. I had 27.5's in it but didnt run clean... I may try to go back to them. So how close are these jets? Say your 2 turns out on a 27.5 pilot then 3/4 turns out on a 25? Whats the best way to tune my idle circuit? Also the idle speed screws (I assume) are the brass one with a jam nut added when they deleted the tors? Also these are run all the way in.... Doesnt seem t have much effect... Maybe im actually on the transition needle some? IDK engine or mods... It runs strong for sure. Has FMF Gold Series... K&N filter no lid... I plan to add the adjustable timing plate thursday or Friday... Just happen to be off work... Some one please give me the best way to tune this idle circuit. Its like I gotta keep it cleaned out at idle or it blubbers.
  8. Blue grass parkway, and Clay city Mostly,... Havent been to the valley yet... Mopar for Me... Line up includes 65 Hemi Belvedere 572", Cuda, B1 Duster, 225" Hard tail dragster with a 557" all aluminum Mopar alky injected.. been 188 mph the the 1/4
  9. So just to touch base, i picked up this banshee last weekend, supposed rebuilt bla bla bla.. Run decent at WOT when I test rode it.. Plug fouler, they guy knew nothing, but had lots of advice.... You know the kind? So I took a chance brought her home. Opened her up found 300 mains and 30 pilot.. installed 27.5 pilots with the 270 mains.. Better but not right.. not very crisp// Steady part throttle it wont run clean.... So once more they came apart, added the 25 pilots that came in the carb kits, keeping the 270 mains.. Much better... I took it on a two hour ride after checking everything out, started first kick everytime... I added a Motion Twist throttle, syncd the carbs set floats etc... Has fmf gold series pipes fmf mufflers.. Check compression with a old gauge it read 110 lbs in each cylinder.. i wasnt to hung up on overall psi readings but more worried about variances between them. It runs pretty good, I ordered a adjustable timing plate, gonna run +4 on premium fuel with Klotzs super techniplate 32:1... Now my carbs has the Tors delete , but I havent much adjustment on the idle speed screws.. the air bleeds/mixtures work. IIRC Im two turns out on it... So the further in the speed screw the faster idle? You think the might not have cut enough off when they finished the conversion... It still isnt clean off throttle... I also know the +4 timings will clean up the idle... Just wondering what you guys think... Id say it runs well for what it is at wot... Just need cleaner transition to the main circuit.. Im a drag racer and tuner, so Its either right.... or waiting to be adjusted right LOL I have done alot of trolling and this site is great..!!! Thanks Bob from Ky
  10. Stock bottom end looking to build the top end this winter.. talked with Fast jeff and hes gonna fix me up I believe.. probably get tge play dune port.... add a cool head, adjustable timimg plate, gforce reeds.... pretty much stock overvbored engine curently. Has fmf gold series exhaust k and n filter.. wonering if this thing will run decent. Probably keep stock bottom end for now.
  11. Ok guys Has a 300 main jet and a 30 pilot... I assume this thing would like a smaller pilot for sure.. maybe even a smaller main... Im at see level and its getting cold. I assume this thing is mostly stock with a over bore and has a FMF pipesno lid and K&N air filter...
  12. no air lid..k&n filter. plugs are Ngk br8es.. still running prev owners mix.. but said it was 32:1 klotz oil... need to research float level set... will check tomorrow
  13. Back Ground Hello new member here.. Been trolling the site and lots of great info here.. I have never owned a Banshee till now, rode several, owned other sport quads before... Love to tune... I drag race and built many race cars engines, Mainly holley Dominator setups, mech alky injection etc... So I am somewhat knowledgable how carbs work, plugs are read emulsion etc... Anyways Picked up this banshee, only know what someone else has said about this quad. supposedly new jugs .060 over.. not sure why anyone would bore new jugs .060 over for. Has FMF Pro Circuit pipes.. Its all I know.. So it runs good at 1/2 to WOT. It idles... Barely.... Pulled the plugs put new ones in 30 minutes they are pretty black and wet after 30 minutes of riding... Try to get pics loaded later.. Was told it has a 27.5 or 28 Pilot and 200 mains with a middle needle setting.... It bogs off idle untill it builds some rpm about half throttle, starts to run clean from there.. It does idle after warm but loads up quick. I plan too check a tomorrow to see exactly what I have.. It does have the TORS mod.. Thought about playing with the air bleeds, not sure how much it would help.. On a holley its more fine tuning, and if it needs major adjustment it tends to need fuel metering changes? Also do all the circuits like Pilot, needle and Main add up together at WOT Like other carbs? On a 3 circuit Dominator (idle ,Intermediate, high speed)all three affect WOT.. even though idle has much less bearing on correct air/fuel ratio? Thanks Plan to do some investigation work tomorrow...
