Many run the BB pipes on smaller motors, but usually you have to run very advanced timings and higher compression to compensate. I did a lot of dyno testing on my 472 and 492 Cheetahs. BB CPI's were down 14 HP from BB Shearers and SB Shearer made the same peak as BB's, with the better front side/bottom end power, just the same as the CPI's made. So for your motor I would run Shearer SB. Nickisgod and Mailman had a 485/492 and got similar results. Quote
