A friend of mine has a stock banshee with DMC exhaust, with K&N & no lid. Will ride at sea level. Are 320 mains to rich? Right now he has 280s but its lean.

try it then work your way down till perfect. when i went down and rode at sea level i threw 330s at it but i had pods and i was farily rich. but always better off starting big but 280 to 320 is a pretty good sized jump

My 02 rides at sea level on the west coast.

Mods are in my sig.

Why does he think the motor is lean?

Has he done a proper plug chop?

I would think with his mods, 280's are very, very close, but I don't know what DMC's like for jetting.

IMO, 320's would be very rich with his mods, but like others have said, run the 320's and see how she feels.

i agree with last post i have ssts bored 60 over kn airfilters open boxe +2 timing @ 800 ft run 30p 270 in summer 280 right now 320 sounds crazy high. put the 320s in and ill say with 90 precent probabilty you will not hit the power band through 4th gear

Thats odd, im at 4500ft above sea level and temps are like 40-60F degrees with dmc pipes, k&n filter with airbox lid on and I am on 300 mains with 27.5 pilot.

You need to do a proper plug chop for the main to tell if it's running lean with the 280. Do that and report back. If it is there is a chance you have a air leak possibly the intake boots

Not sure what to say Haas.

My cyls and head are stock, are yours?

How rich is your oil/fuel mix?

If you run more oil in your mix than I do, then that's part of the reason.

I run 18oz of Yamalube 2R to 5 gallons of 91 octane which is 36:1.

I've put 20 gallons of fuel thru it jetted as so at the dunes.

If it was too lean, it would've melted down long ago.
