DUSTY05 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Got a 04 Banshee with Noos cool head, pipes, jetted, geared, fresh rebuild(stock) top end, stock carbs and Uni. Just recently purchased bike and found this site and caught the wanna go faster bug! Id like to get my cyls ported and make it a lil faster..called FAST and guy on the phone wasnt real sure on wait time he said maybe a month, didnt really want to wait that long.. so called up Herr Juggs and no answer so i left a message, no call back yet. I saw where Alba racing does porting anyone ever use them? and what other mods that will pack a punch besides pistons or crank while im at it?? THANKS Quote
Phelps Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 some guys are worth the wait, but if waiting is not a option call a builder and order stock stroke/bore cub cylinders and be done. it won't stop there though so why not just go big? Quote
Sandking Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 HJR will get it back to you in two weeks or at least that's his normal turnaround Quote

Ha! ya id like a set of cub cyls!! Wont the cub cyls come with new pistons also??? it runs REALLY good like it is, but ive gotten used to the power and want a lil more easy/cheap HP! and figured porting would be the ticket.. Dont get me wrong it WILL get some aftermarket cyls once this top end quits..it had maybe 2-3 rides on new top end when i got it and i dont want to get rid of a good/strong top end just yet Quote

Phelps Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 bust out the wallet man! there is two ways to go about it. the long slow expensive way and a lot of wasted time and parts, or just the expensive way and have all the smiles at once. not saying these builders can't make a stock cylinder haul, just saying eventually most guys go with aftermarket cylinders. Phelps Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 lol yeah you might wanna go the ported stocker route then. no need to die just yet. 1 Quote
Coupelx Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Think of it this way. The builders with the long wait times have those wait times for a reason. I waited 6 months to get my cheetah back from wildcard. Quote
sheerider11 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I waited about 9 months for a complete motor rebuilt. Now I'm the fastest guy of the group. It was worth the wait. Quote
99michael Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 ^ so fast,,, he thought he could fly,,, ended up crashen',,,lol Quote
sheerider11 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 ^ so fast,,, he thought he could fly,,, ended up crashen',,,lolUnfortunately that's true. I called the guy that built the bike that was beating me. Told him I need to go faster then him. And he got me there. Quote
