Meat Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I read that in the newspaper last summer. Iv seen the topfuel dragsters run allready and its worth the price of admission. We tried to go to the Maple Grove drag back in Octoboer, but it was rained out, so we went again 3 weeks later and it got rained out again, bitch was we bought our tickets($40) online and they wouldnt give us a refund, they ran the races on Sunday and Monday and we couldnt make it for either of those days so we lost our money and never got see a single car fly down the track. Funny cars are badass too. Quote
axle Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Eddie Hill once described what it was like to launch a top fuel dragster. He said Imagine setting still at a traffic light in a volkswagon when all of a sudden an 18 wheeler doing 70 miles per hour rear ends you. Quote
TACamaro67 Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 They are around 7000 hp.... i must agree in there is nothing like seeing them live in person. If you get the chance you must go, the rush you get from being a spectator is awesome. Quote
stu Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 7000bhp!!!!! and i thought my 70hp banshee was quick! stu Quote

tats4life Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 How in the hell do you dyno a car with 7000 horsepower. There's a dude in Columbia with 1300 twin turbo supra, he had to drive to Atlanta to get his car dynoed. Do dyno's even go that damn high Quote
WickedBanshee Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 i dont even want a banshee anymore. if you rode in one of those everything else would suck from then on. the fastest drag shees wouldnt even be fun. Quote
chase73 Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 LOL when I read it I was amazed The part about the vette racing it puts it all in perspective 200mph head start and still get spanked Quote
