animal1000rr Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I'm in the process of buying parts to build a stock bore 4mil engine and I have been reading a lot of do's and dont's. I'm trying to find out if a Vito's crank is a steins dependable crank or just a badged "wang" crank? Quote
toytech Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 vitos cranks are good cranks. not wang cranks. Quote
Infamous039 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 Vito's 4mill cranks are very good cranks, thats all I buy are those and wiesco. Quote
Chris327 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 vitos cranks are the best... make sure to get a trued balanced and welded one Quote
BANSHEE HP Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 They are good. They all come trued and welded, with a keyed center to prevent twisting out of phase. However no crankshaft vitos or anyone else sells is balanced. The balancing process is around $400 to have done. Quote
mopar1rules Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I will add that I as well have been having good luck with the vitos 4mil long rod crank and that's what I would stick to. Quote
animal1000rr Posted August 25, 2013 Author Report Posted August 25, 2013 Thanks to all. It will make decisions easier. Quote
