I guess this question is geared more toward builders but all input is welcome. Is there a great difference in the porting and setup of a dirt drag as opposed to an asphalt engine? just cylinder and case setup, I know final drive setup is totally different.
thanks sleeper, i have measured. the wheels with the rotor mounts are wider in the axle area. what i do see is the rotor mount is not machined with the wheel and was wondering if anyone knows how or has a way o remove them or if it can be done. registered user i appreciate the offer but i will pass. and a quick peek is the reason for the question.
I have two sets of spindlemount wheels, one is stock taper and the other is 5/8 with rotor mounts. My question is, can the 5/8 set be converted to stock taper? And are the rotor mounts removable and reinstall able?
It's loud. At first I thought that it was the exhaust resonating but I have damped them and the noise was still there. After getting in very close the noise is coming from the stator cover.

I have a noise that I think I have narrowed down to the flywheel. when I remove it and shake it I can hear something moving. Does this mean that it will fail soon or is it just something to deal with?
I bought a 10" stretched swingarm fom a member and it did not come with dust caps. The pivot tube is a smaller diameter than stock. Is there a place that I can purchase custom sized caps with the rubber seals?
