It was parts store 80/90 but i use it in my 250r and works fine. And no i didnt try doin it with the cable loose. How exactly am i supposed to line up the arrows with the cable loose?

push inboard with your finger while adjusting the screw. I've read on here that some people will adjust it a little out board of the case arrow   (I think that 's the direction I read I'll try to find that info if no-one chimes in)

In all seriousness, if you do reassemble and still find slipping, please do check the rear tires for slippage on the wheels.  I have seen it in the shop and it will feel just like clutch slip.

Actually 7.4 ft lbs, but close enough. If you multiply 7.4 X 12, you get 89 in lbs. For the case bolts and nuts, head nuts, and pressure plate bolts, I convert everything to inch pounds. Just don't forget and grab the wrong torque wrench.
