Wassup350 Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 Ive never ridden against a raptor b4 but id definitely say that your Shee would smoke the raptor. Quote
Killer Boots Man Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 ive raced both stock/stock and the raptor always wins but it looks as if u have the edge with your aftermarket Quote
flat track king Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 dude r u joking youregonne smoke that raptor as long as u can ride Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 start in second and give him the smokage. Quote
Motoman991 Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 you should be able to beat him, i can beat my brothers raptor with a fmf pipe and uni airfilter with jetted carbs. I have fmf pipes and silencers and a k&n with jetted carbs. I beat him no problem Quote
glock221 Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I have a banshee and a raptor. If your banshee was stock, you would lose. With your mods, you will beat him. Quote
WickedBanshee Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 if u can ride, you'll beat him. Quote

Klotz Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 tonight...we wanted to settle a long awaited race....my friend with his raptor fmf and k and n......wanted to race me...my mods are below...lets just say he shut his mouth...in other words i left him in the dust......i hoped on my other friends brand new stock bansee and i beat him by about half a quad length..... Toomey Banshee Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Raps are fast, no doubt. You'll win though. Start in second and hammer the throttle, power shift the whole way. You should win by a few bikes (1-3) Dont forget, they are almost twice your displacement, so dont take the Raps for granted. Quote
96shee84z28 Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 i haven't raced any craptors yet but today a ds650 tried to mess with me but i had to put him in his place.... behind me. i beat him by a bike length. his was stock and all i've done to mine shee is t-5's and toomey air filter. damn it feels good beating those thumpers. Quote
bansheesteve69 Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 i've never had a problem beating modded raptors or ds650's. maybe the bikes are just slower here in missouri or i'm just that much faster lol Quote
Screamin_Demon Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 I laughed as I read some of those posts with people stating "with those mods, you'll beat him." Mods don't mean shit if you can't ride, lol. I've raced my friend's raptor many times, when it was stock, and after he modded it, and I've beaten him 95% of the time, and my shee's bone stock. His mods are about the same as far as the type of mods, only his are CT exhaust, and a full K&N kit. Only engine mod I have is new spark plugs, and a billet water impellor. Even he admits I'm a better rider, because I can hop on his raptor and race him on my banshee and beat him. It's all the rider, the mods just give the rider some assistance. Now granted... most people with mods are fast because they are 1) a good rider, 2) a good rider, and 3) have good mods, but once again... you can stick someone who's not as experienced of a rider on a full blow drag banshee, and there's a 50/50 chance he'll still get beat by the experienced rider on a stock warrior (hypothetically speaking of course). Point is... you proved him wrong, and that's all that counts, but don't let that go to your head. You should always be humble about yourself when racing... it doesn't bruise the ego and self esteem as much as talking trash before, and getting your ass handed to you afterwards. Quote
