why dose my piston look like this

Pic won't load but it is all pitted up so is the dome.why would it do this?

Maybe air leak I just rebuiit the top end rode it twice now this I got new pistons already but need to now why its doing this

Perhaps you didn't install the rings correctly, could have chipped a piece off and it was bouncing around in there

The rings are ok it was sparking out of the exhaust that is why I took it apart and the piston looks melted with pits

Some of that extra 10 pounds of red silicone found its way to the transfers and clogged them up. Ran lean and started coming apart.

Should have done a leakdown. You would have known before it happened. Also, why the fuck is all that silicone in there??
