pancake bearing confusion

Doing a pancake bearing install on a buddies bike. Do you have to re-use the original rods? All it came with was like a 3 inch threaded rod and the bearing and the part that pushes the clutch basket. This is very confusing and it didn't come with any kind of instructions. I know this is a common mod so someone can probably give me some instructions. I included a link to show exactly what I got.

The original actuator seems to be intact. Man I'm havin a hell of a time with this though. I got the actuator in, put the rod and ball in, now I'm confused again. So does the clutch basket go on, then the pancake bearing or what? I'm very mechanically inclined but I don't have the book for this bike to see any schematics.
