Larry's Shee Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Do you mean a J-arm? Bushings and ball joints probably toast Quote
atcandbanshees Posted April 30, 2013 Author Report Posted April 30, 2013 No its single a arm. Its a drag chassis Quote
Nightmare Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Any idea who built it.

Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2

Quote
Phelps Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 depends on how the tie-rods are on it there possibly can be something you can do to help it. the more parallel the tie-rod is to the a arm the less bump-steer you will have. that and the more rigid the suspension. i was able to flip the tie-rods on my stellar chassis and add a shim. the tie-rod to arm angle was way off and was a nightmare to ride. atcandbanshees Posted April 30, 2013 Author Report Posted April 30, 2013 Cp customs chassis and ya mine is a nightmare to ride. Kinda have to ride like a dirt bike in sand. Sit on the rear and just let the front do what it wants Quote

atcandbanshees Posted April 30, 2013 Author Report Posted April 30, 2013 I will try flipping my tie rods hopefully that will help Quote
atcandbanshees Posted April 30, 2013 Author Report Posted April 30, 2013 I will when I get off work tonight Quote
possum Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Quite a few people said the steering on my chassis' were all wrong. And they actually run straight and turn great.. Then you have "PRO" shops putting out setups that have problems and nobody says nothing. ahh owell.. Quote
m671054 Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Pretty bad if you cant figure out how to avoid bump steer in such a small amount of wheel travel when building chassis. to the op have you checked your toe set with you on the bike Quote
springer Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 I have a single a arm chassis and its kinda scary to ride its all over the place. Anybody else have this problem or ideas what I could do to fix it ^^idea -- get rid of single arm chassis Quote
camatv Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 single arm chassis are not sapposed to have any front wheel travel pump the marvins up to about 300psi each. its going to be stiff.. other than that either the front end is setup wrong either in the tie rod's or the upper shock mounts are wrong.. my LSR single arm goes straight and has absolutely NO wobble or shake at all at 80mph+ i can let go of one of the bars. ( im not doing both!) and it goes nice and straight. i can get on and off the throttle and it does nothing weird... BUT the front is nearly ridgid. thats the issue with single arm bikes.. Quote
camatv Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 there are a bunch of single arm chassis out there floating around with total absolute shit front ends that go left and right when you unload them. its a freaking disaster right now. seen a few of them wreck already.. and to think my LSR was just "overpriced..: Quote
