Methfireroad Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Just got my motor back from the builder and I'm having some problems narrowing down the jets I'm going to need. I have a 421 cub, drag ported,v3 going to be running shearers in frames, and I have pwks 28 with k&n pods.the elevation I'm at right now is 1070 feet. I know the 28 are not ideal but I am running a Lil low on funds to dump in the bike at the moment. Quote
sheerider11 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Just got my motor back from the builder And what did they suggest? Quote
Methfireroad Posted March 30, 2013 Author Report Posted March 30, 2013 He was saying he never uses pwks so he was not to sure on jet sizes. So I was just seeing if anyone on here has run something similuar and could give me a idea where to start. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=163454 And pay me my money Teuchè my good man. You have a fine career in the "how to use the search" field. Quote
Oregon dunner Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 162 main. 48 pilot. I have a 152 main and 45 pilot on my ported 421 cub with 35 pwk and I ride it sea level. Quote
apeik Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there since my thread was linked. I was trying to collect all the info along the way if anyone ever needed help. But as of now, with both jjh and n68a needles I could never make the 28s work right, it was always way rich right before the powerband causing a bog until I dropped down to a 152 main, at which point I was to lean. So I can only assume I needed a retarded lean needle taper, but my seasons over and I'm gonna just get some 35's instead of chasing needles. I'm actually interested how yours does so update this please. For reference I was at sea level, with pods, cpi's, 150 comp., .056 squish and a drag ported cub. Hopefully you have better luck than I did. Novel over Quote
