If you dont want to cut the wires just stick a U shaped wire terminal into the plug. Just be careful not to bend the pins. On my 96 the plug has four holes but only two has wires.

you can jump it like this. But I had a problem where it seemed like the tors kicked in and limited the bike. Cut it, twist the wires, problem solved .

Could i use like a wire splicer thing. It basically clamps on tho the wire and cuts thru the wire casing into the wire itself and when you close it it connects the two wires. Would that work?

like the one you get to install on a radio from best buy?

On my bike I used a butt connector.

That'd be a 3M Scotchlock, it will work, but when your bike acts up, check that first.
