Finch Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 get the crank welded and good port job some better pipes and ditch the boost bottle Quote
04_blu_shee Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Just what Finch said exactly....on my dune port motor I was making 65hp with stock 26mm carbs so thats one investment you really dont need to make....you want power port your motor a good builder will tell you what other parts needed with a port job to get the power you are looking for Quote
bansheeboy01 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 ok good idea boys what pipes would u suggest ? and what about also adding i timming plate.. coolhead with 21cc domes.. and the dynoteck ignition kit with a new stator? Quote
04_blu_shee Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 These questions are really determined on one question....What type of riding are you planning on doing with your new build. Quote
bansheeboy01 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 all round.. drag.. street..track.. trails might start looking into draging.. i wont have anything to crazy with stock cylinders anyway but i would like something with lots of power and still be reliable Quote
Zillaguy Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Port work dollar for dollar is the best mod you can do if your into the engine that far, a coolhead, and some VF3's or 4's. That would make a stout machine on stock cyls. Don't over bore unless you have to, you can't put bores back, and you only get a few.. Quote
Dalton Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 What Finch said...get crank welded with RZ bearing ..have cylinders professionally ported to your riding style... Quote
oldskool Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 Yes, I would do timing plate at +2/+4 Quote
