Lol first time taking one off and put a rod in the hole on the fly to hold it still. Now I know better but you think the stator will still work?

I'd throw the flywheel back on and see if it rubs. But I don't know, because when the magnets in the flywheel break up you get a lot of popping and misfires. So I don't know what a bent pole will do

For the future a trick I use is to take a ratchet strap and wrap it around it. Then use a pair of vise grips to clamp the strap together real tight. Then it shouldn't turn.

For an even better trick....spend the money on a clutch/flywheel tool.
