Look, I don't know how much more blunt I can be.

I have tried all of these tires. I keep saying the same thing with testing as my back up.

If you want to waste your money go ahead.

I'm telling you what to buy.

MR501. All day, every day. End of story.

the maxxis razr II at $140 a piece for standard 20x11-9 size is CRAZY.

maybe a few specific questions I would like to see in this comparison of the maxxis razr II to at least the ambush and MR501 is:

Pavement road ridding comparison, stone road ridding comparison, hard pack dirt/rocks comparison

a bunch of people got me leaning towards the MR501 but for $70 a piece on the ambush how could i not try them!!?

Damn, I paid $140 shipped for 2 kenda klaws:blink:

Yea I rode that DM for 15 min and now its apart on my bench waiting on a new transmission from Cam. Joel who I bought it from had a 2-3 override in it with no other gears at all. Basically only good for hill shooting I guess. I might have it back together for fall ridding, but i ran out of chassis to be putting motors in

This tire inquiry is for my 465 that shredded my razr II’s. It probably had a lot to do with how I was ridding it but I had to put the FAST motor through its right of passage.

mike how did the motor feel for the 15 min that you rode it? i know you only had 2 gears but thought i would ask. the bigger the motor and the harder you ride, the faster it will eat tires up. nature of the beast

Not to change subjects, but you ride open stuff with the DM right? Seems more and more people are doing that. I will be running roads with my DM, people say they overheat, but the more I've been hearing they work great. Good luck, hope it runs well for you!!

Of course the dm will shine in open roads or trails. However I have rode tight technical trails with it and haven't had a issue yet. I'm not popping the clutch and pinning it the whole time in the technical stuff though. Not moving anywhere and pinning it could cause some heating issues due to lack of air flow

Oh yea for sure. Who knows... with the popularity of these lately something else may evolve like new cylinders. Wishful thinking I know but you never know what the future will bring. Yea I remember discussing it. Hope this informs more people on the forum

Yea Trails and roads for my DM too... it ripped my arms out!! I couldn’t really ride mine for long enough or normal enough with the transmission it had to see any overheating problems. I better start buying stock in rubber when I get it going though. I ride so many different terrains it seems I never have the best tire for the moment. Ridding 20-25 miles down the pavement to get to sand pit then taking the hard pack dirt and rock trail back
