9 or 10 Inch Wheel

I'm going to be getting new wheels for my 421 build and was wondering what size would be better for trails. 9 or 10 inch?

the rim sizes im looking at are 9x8 or a 10x8

Usually you would pick your tire size , then a wheel to fit, but, like Ticktock said, probably a better selection in the 9" diameter tires.
