Pwk issue

Do the metal idle screws scar your slides? I thought they were plastic/brass because of this.

I've never had a problem with scaring. But its not like I sit there and adjust them daily.

I set them in once, adjusted once and haven't had to fool wirh them for a few seasons.

If you have pwk's and the idle screw is touching the side of your slide, you definitely have problems.

If you unscrew the cap, there is a flange that the screw pushes up on. It is part of the slide but not the interal part.

After being informed in the plastic versus metal, I just made some out of stainless steel and called it a day. Cost me less than 2 bucks for them.

Gentlemen, I found the problem. The idle circuit on one of the carbs is not working correctly. It would chase an idle then die. No matter how much you adjusted it, the carb wouldn't act right until the needle came on.

Kevin at hjr had me drop the bike off and he helped me diagnose the problem. Great guy to deal with and is willing to do whatever it takes to make his customers happy.
