 Replace:

left to right support between rear lower a-arm attachment

Yes, the big gusset on the lower frame rails in between the lower a-arm mounts.

 

left to right support between upper shock attachment

No, it's the gusset behind the bumper up front, it runs in between the upper bumper mounts.

 

Some people also cut the up tube towards the rear of the upper a-arm mounts, if you look at Finch's photo he has this done.
