CAJUN BANSHEE Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 I'm juggling the idea of the fast fibers for my drag build but was thinking the glass might be pronge to cracking from vibration. But then again, I like the look of the fullbores. Just looking for a few opinions. Quote

CAJUN BANSHEE Posted January 5, 2013 Author Report Posted January 5, 2013 Also, my frame is candy red and I may be getting tired of the black on red. Any suggestions on body color and still have the red stand out? Quote

CAJUN BANSHEE Posted January 5, 2013 Author Report Posted January 5, 2013 Just ruber mounting the hood from top and bottom.. Good point, I'm sure that would work. I guess theyre about the same price for either? Quote
Finch Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 unpainted fast fiber with a grill is 300ish Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 you will have no issue with them cracking if you are reasonably careful. I think drilling the mount holes and using an electrical rubber gromet that has a 1/4" hole in them is a cheap/easy/simple way to ensure you wont have any problems. Quote

Hmm, I know exactly what to use, I'm an industrial electrician, I can use the gromments out of the cgb's that we use for bulk heads and conduit. Thanks, this may curb my mind to the glass as long as I can find a set for under 300.00 lol Quote
Glenyboy Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 A White voltric front would look nice on that bike Quote

jtaylor Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 I use a rubber mounting kit for wiper motors that dorman/motormite makes. Autozone/o Riley/advance/napa all sell them. They require a larger diameter hole but have a metal sleeve spacer like the stock gas tank mounts with. You can tighten the hardware and allows the hood to 'float' on the mounts, I have never had one crack or break using these. Makes for a nice installation Quote
