Guy said the square pad rests against the little nubs on a factory head and the plugs hold it down. That is still complete nonsense and there is no way it would clear the nuts. I mentioned it and he basically told me to buy it and "feel the performance, or piss off"

Yes! Hmm, no wonder it runs cooler, it's a CC less in the combustion chamber and the plug isn't in a location to make sure all the fuel gets lit.
