jsinar Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 I'm about to order one of those vito's tors removal kits, and while I've got it tore down I'm going to clean the hell out of the carbs, is there anything else I need? Are the bowl gaskets re-usable? or any other gaskets or o-rings inside the carbs that need to be replaced? Quote
jsinar Posted July 31, 2012 Author Report Posted July 31, 2012 Also, can I just eyeball or measure the idle gap before I remove the tors so I can get the screws set pretty much dead on the first time around? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 Nope.....just make sure the kit that your buying comes with the idle screws AND the tap for them.....along with me carb caps and a new throttle cable. There is no real way to measure the slide gap for the carbs......just have to go to it and get the tool or get good at listening and tuning by hand... Quote
jsinar Posted September 10, 2012 Author Report Posted September 10, 2012 Alrighty, got the tors kit installed, now as far as wiring goes.. The tors control box was still in it, but the wires were cut right at the carbs, I want to get rid of the switch and wires that run to the throttle housing, Is all I need to do is unplug stuff, or will I need to tie wires together? Just unplug the wires or cut them and then tape the wires or plugs, also pull the tors controll box, no need to have it on there. Quote
