falcon gt351 Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 gday was wondering can you run a rev box and a adjustable stator plate at 4 degrees at the same time was told today that the rev box basically does this meaning it would be 8 degrees total is this correct??? I was led to believe that the rev box only changed rev limit and curve !!! any help would be gratefull Quote
hawaiianbasshead Posted July 28, 2012 Report Posted July 28, 2012 I don't think the ignition boxes are worth anything, otherwise more people would be recommending them. I'm gonna get the timing plate and call it good... on a raptor I like having no rev limit in reverse but that's the only real thing I've had an aftermarket CDI for... oh, and I got it cheap so it was worth trying and was alot easier to reverse on hills and anywhere really LOL just had to be a little more aware Quote
So Cal Banshee Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 You can run both, but not necessary.. usually a timing plate does the job. Adjustable boxes are nice if motor needs different curve or want to be able to adjust on the fly. As far as +8 that would be the case depending on how the adjustable rev box was adjusted.. Quote

falcon gt351 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Report Posted July 30, 2012 What if your Revbox is non adjustable don't know how much it's advancing just said very aggressive timing curve Quote
J-Madd Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 There's no rev limiter on a Banshee, so anything that calls it self a "rev box" I'd avoid. Just run the timing plate. If you want to try different curves get a Dyna FS. Beware, they will fry without notice, so keep a spare CDI on hand. Quote
