DirtDiggler69 Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 Just rebuilt the top end , I have a very minute coolant leak around the head on the left side externally , I'm working on getting my jetting correct but I have this stumble on the acceleration and the exhaust does look whitish , it's not blowing huge amounts of white . Idles good , 2-1 graydon with a uni pod and 33 PWK . If it was burning coolant a little bit , will it cause a stumble or hesitation when I give it throttle? Quote
Surfrjag Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 you may want to go ahead and fix the headgasket issue and then re assess the situation... Quote
DirtDiggler69 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 And current exhaust is a motofast 2-1 pipe , so no way to isolate the cylinders exhaust wise , yeah I will be looking for some PT Mids ASAP !!!!! Quote
DirtDiggler69 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 Im gonna pull the head and install a oem gasket , I bought a Namura kit and used that one on the rebuild . I plan to also use the permatex copper adhesive spray this time around . Also on the mod list is a cool head . Quote
dcalsv02 Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 What year is your banshee? I have a set of pt high revs and silencers that fit a j arm only, that I need to get rid of. Quote
DirtDiggler69 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 It's a 2000 , thanks 4 the Hedz up tho! Quote
DirtDiggler69 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 My next question is that does it matter which plug goes to which wire? My longest wire is on the right plug , shorter is on the left . I've made no timing changes from stock . Quote
MyNameIsMud Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 I had a coolant leak not long ago luckily it wasnt getting into the cylinders but it was wicking up the threads on a few studs. What i did was after checking the heads plain for any warpage bought an oem gasket and used the copper spray gasket adhesive.I put 4-5 coats on it and reinstalled per the torque specs and its been good since. The k&s gasket i had before just wasnt cutting it. Quote
Finch Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 No doesnt matter which wire they both spark at the same time. fix coolant leak first. i burn white smoke but figure its just the benol. cuz i have no leak Quote
Surfrjag Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 i used the copper spray once. it held up but was a paint to clean up the next time.. Quote

DirtDiggler69 Posted July 2, 2012 Author Report Posted July 2, 2012 Yup , pulled the head , it's wet on the left dry on the right . I picked up a can of permatex copper gasket spray tonight after bowling and Tuesday I'll buy a new oem gasket . I'll spray both sides in several layers and re-torque to specs and let it cure overnight . Hopefully that should fix it up . Thanks for the help and advice bro's Quote
