sprinklerman Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 Nice of them to tell me i told me what i have I dont think thats the problem. The serval wont need big flange pipes. You just need to sand your O'rings down a bit. A dremel with a sanding drum works great. Grease them too. Quote
jimbo1986 Posted June 30, 2012 Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 Nice of them to tell me i told me what i have also it will start to go on but then real tight... it goes right passed the o ring Quote
jimbo1986 Posted June 30, 2012 Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 i took the o ring out too but still doesnt want to slide over the flange Quote
PassionRE Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 i took the o ring out too but still doesnt want to slide over the flange I've noticed the same thing. After building Magettshee's engine he was having problems getting his Snipers to slide on. Luckily, he was a local guy so I went to help. We couldn't even get a well worn set of CPI"S to slide over his Serval flanges. The engine was already installed in the frame, so I had to take a cartridge roll to the inside of the Snipers to get them to slide on. Not sure if they are all the Servals are this way, but Ive seen it more than once.....Jim Quote

jimbo1986 Posted June 30, 2012 Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 what is cartridge roll may i ask? and so ur saying they will fit just going to have to tinker with them Quote
PassionRE Posted June 30, 2012 Report Posted June 30, 2012 what is cartridge roll may i ask? and so ur saying they will fit just going to have to tinker with them Simular to a dremel sanding disc...just more industrial..used mainly with air powered die-grinders. Yes, you will have to sand the inside of your pipe flanges...easier than messing with the cylinder. Quote
guns4children Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 My r2s took a bit of playing with to fit. What I did was put the on as far as they would go then put the springs on. They slid into place while I was mounting up the rest. Quote
BUILDER Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 I had the same issue with my cub. Even with the O-rings out the pipes would not slide on. I ended up taking some emery cloth and sanding the shit out of the cylinders until the pipes slid on easy. Quote
SandmanPNW Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 I had a bit of a tough time getting my CPIs on my cub cyls as well. I just used some PB blaster and some wiggle work. Not sure how severe your problem is. Quote
jimbo1986 Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 thanks guys well at least im not the only one that have had this problem Quote
rjdgriff Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 The first time I put my rockets on my serval it was a tough fit as well. And the way I got mine on was with the springs as well. Quote
