RACxEMxWILLIE Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I have a question for all you Banshee experts: I recently purchased a 03 Banshee that had the stock 26mm twin mikuni carbs replaced with a single Keihin Stage V carburetor. My question is, did that come with the reed valves or would i have to put them on myself. Also, could someone recommend a set of reed valves. The quad has not been bored or stroked or any other motor mod done. Would the reeds be worth it or no? Second question: Should I take this single carb off and go back to the twin mikunis or leave it on? Another one I rode with the twins felt like it had more top end than this one? Ive heard having a single carb would rob you of top end to give you more on the bottom end. Quote

nmdesertbansheeryder Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 my buddy has a single carb set up on his shee....and has pretty much same mods as me ,and his bike is definitly slower in a race.i would put the twin carbs on and get you some v-force 2 or 3 reed valves.also does your bike have the tors and stock airbox ? Yeah i wanted to rip it off. But i need to find the twins first. The quad still has the tors i think and the stock air box with the 2-1 conversion kit. Quote
