BigC Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Hey there! I have an 05 banshee that I took to the dunes on Thanksgiving to the dunes. 10min out I sucked sand and stuck the Rt side carb all the way open. Parked the bike and brought it home. We have cleaned and rebuilt both carbs and replaced the reed valves. The bike fires up and idles perfect with the choke on. The second you turn the choke off the Rt side cylinder shuts down. Put the choke back on and the cylinder fires back up but still runs like crap. Any ideas??? Quote
Surfrjag Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 is the gasket mising on that carb cap? Quote

Dicklez Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Maybe check ur compression. Cylinders generally don't like sand. Quote
04zSpittinKlotz Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 freakin stupied sand, banchee's dont like the sand Quote
Jereme6655 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Also check your sync on your carbs.....I had a situation like that and I grabbed my sync tool after I rebuilt the carbs and one of the carbs needed the idle turned up higher to equal the other one. Check your carb sync, swap wires (but I'm sure it's a fuel problem) and keep us updated Quote
mike0chek Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 i would do a comp test to get that out of the way first.... Quote
j stang Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Pull your carbs back off and clean agin sounds like your idle jet is still dirty, and make sure your slides are in right. Half shape moon should be pointing to the rear of the bike. Quote
