Those bolts forward of the drain plug... what do they do? This is the second banshee i have had that has the exact same bolt leaking. What can be done to fix the problem ?

they hold the engine cases together.....

there is a hole above in the middle of the cases, you most likely have something leaking thru there....

what kind of liquid?

those are holding your cases together. must not have enough yamabond between the cases in that area. is it tranny fluid? might have to split them to fix it properly. Or its gas leaking from your carb and running through the hold thats in the cases and looks like it coming from somewhre else.

i just blew my bottom end up yesterday no crank oil...only thing i can notice is a small wet spot by them bolts so im wondering the same thing..i believe its crank oil but there is not a full case of it there.

its tranny fluid.. well if im gonna have to split the cases, might as well do my 4 mil build .. :)

If you do split the cases take the time to clean them really well. Dirty contaminated cases are the biggest leader to leaks.
