I have a question. I am replacing my throttle cable....I wanted to do a twist throttle for my bike but they were out and Im heading to the dunes this weekend. So I bought the replacement cable and removing the old one. I got to the carbs where you need to pull out cable that is held in by two little screws, I got one out on each side....is there a trick to getting these out....any help would be great. Thanks.

Yes it does have stock carbs. Im talking about the little screws that hold the cable in the slide with the little L bracket. It seems like one on each side came out easy and the other one is being a bitch.

another member may know differently but no trick that I can recall. Just try and ensure that the tension is as released from the bracket giving the screw the ease of backing out. If you already have one screw out and the current cable is applying tension to the bracket it could be creating a pinch on the threads of the still installed screw making for difficult removal. Hope you get it out.

if your talking about what i think you are those screws dont need to come out for the cable to come out just the little brass piece that locks the cable into place. compress the spring into the cap and pull that out i use a pair of needle nose. then wiggle the cable and it should pop out. im assuming ya have tors removed and just normal caps?
