Trinity sells new factory shift drums already modded with bearings for $125 or so, but mod would be easy if you had access to a lathe or machine shop and some time to research which roller bearing one would need...

i can do it also, send me the drum and i can put a bearing on it. there are 2 ways to do it either bearing that stays in the case. or a bearing thats on the drum. i kinda like the one on the drum better.

the rz shift forks from the old days had a rotating pin on the guide pin that went in the drum. UNFORTUNATLEY they were discontinued many many years ago and replaced with banshee style shift forks if you order an RZ shift fork you get a banshee shift fork..

Sounds like it would be easier to use the RZ bottom end with the Banshee stator and flywheel, but good to know that someone can do it.

Thanks for the post.

so i put three bond on the cases and slapped it together and might have went a little overboard with it, is it ok if there is excess on the inside on the crank and trans.

Then you should be okay. Just really check the crank, I've gotten sealant on the crank because it comes really close to the case halves. But I just made sure I could spin everything every few hours to make sure I didn't get it on anything important.
