willardwright59 Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 I got a set of pods from hjr for my 26mm carbs, i put them on "made for your stock bike" bullllllllll shit! They hit the frame where the rear shock mounts, and are about 1/4" away from my pc pipes. The outerwears will melt wont they? What should i do to fix this? Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 I believe that is a typical problem with the clearance. Quote

blowit Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 http://www.mullengineering.com/sc/store.php/products/yamaha-banshee-big-mouth-venturi-intake-kit-filter-outerwear-big-bore-carb-stroker-drag-online This is all I can offer. Our intake was designed for improved performance over just pods but also clears the frame and pipes without issue. Sorry, we do not have an installed pic. I have also seen people make shields to protect the filters. Brandon Mull Engineering Quote

#1JUANstunna Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Whered you pick that up at? Any automotive Hi-Performance shop should have it, I even think you can get it at Autozone or a place like that. Quote
willardwright59 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 Could i make some? What should i use? Quote
mike0chek Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 you need some wrap or some kind of shield, even with the wrap on mine it is very hot after the bike has ran for a bit. but like i said nothing gets burnt of melted. Quote
Bkm2006 Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 i have pods on stock carbs with no issue bought them from jeff at fast.. you could call him and ask Quote
Jcarney Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 im having clearance issues with 34 pj's any pics or advice? 6 in pods straight flanges- im going to clamp my silencers to the frame hopefully that helps some Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 The problem is the straight flanges. It's just not gonna happen so do your self a favor and chuck them. Look for angled pods from just about any vendor in the sponsor section. Quote
