carb mod wrong side

Yes, you can. Just use a short enough bolt that the end of the bolt doesn't protrude into the slide area and hold the slide open. Put a little bit of teflon on the threads to seal the bolt you're using to plug the hole and just drill/tap on the correct side.

Like green said it is actully something that happens often and JB weld will fix the issue not a problem. JB weld actually works great if you take your time and use it right the reason most people hate it is becasue they do not take the time to put it on right. The gas will not affect it at all if done right.

To just plug up the hole I would of left the JB weld in it. But if you drilled it with the drill bit from the kit. Tap it, then go to the store and pick up the same size bolt. Put teflon tape and put it in. You can take off the head and make it flush so it looks a little cleaner. I would dab a little JB over that as extra security and be done with it.
