locogato11283 Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 We need more info. Carbs, pipes, reeds, jetting specs, elevation, temperature, fuel/oil mix?! Quote
Dicklez Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Have you checked your plugs when it wont start? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 if you dropped it off and it was not doing this then i would take it back to that shop and tell them to get their shit straight and fix it. You paid to have your bike fixed......not a 30 minute fix. Perferably tell them that you are unsatisfied with their work....SHOW them that the bike takes a shit and tell them you want at least the money you paid in labor back. Quote
BUILDER Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 If the bike fires up just fine cold then will not spark when it is warm then it is most likely the coil. Quote
double-trouble Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 i called the place i took it and asked what was up and he told me once they bench tested it thats when they stoped working on it. i hate to complane cause i really didnt take the best atv to them i alredy had evry thing off the bike like plastic tank and stater cover. they told me too it might be the coil. just wanted more advice cuase he didnt sound to for sure. and i dont no how to cheack ohms on it. and im not the richest guy out there so its hard to keep throwing mony into tril and err Quote

Larry's Shee Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 If you don't have a Clymers manual there might be a download somewhere on here to get the values. Other than Clymers is in error on secondary procedure, you test plug wire to plug wire. Check that ALL connections are clean and tight, same with grounds, be sure ground for coil is bare metal and is tight. Might also try cutting 1/4" off plug wire and re-install cap. Did I mention ALL conections? Little dab of dielectric grease helps also, even on coil ground. Quote
