Transmission Rebuild

Hey fellas,

 

I was wondering if I needed any special tools to rebuild the transmission on my Shee. Money is tight and I have to do it myself. Any input would be great. Thank you for reading.

no special tools needed other than a flywheel puller to pull the flywheel before ya split the cases.... what it said transmission doing that you think it needs a rebuild?

Sweet! Thanks guys, last winter it blew up on me because I was late for lunch with the girlfriend. I was 15 miles from town and I was going full throttle all the way back. Locked up about 12 miles into it. I think I had a leak too though. I bought all the guts, micro polished and modded shift drum off e bay. Hope it's not a dud.

You most likely seized a piston and will find the tranny is fine.

The video is helpful but you need to get a manual for sure.

Also, The top case bolts final torque is only 7.2 ft lbs. not 20 as said in the video.

Sounds like you had a lean main and siezed it. Trannys seldom go.
