I picked up a Moose Racing split chain slider for a stock swing arm. The problem I have is it will not close up after it gets wrapped around the swing arm. Like the hole is to small.

Anybody else run into this problem?

After you take off the white plastic roller, there's a stainless sleeve pressed on the swingarm. Maybe that needs to come off.

Every aftermarket slider I have seen needs to have the metal ring for the stock slider/roller removed from the swingarm.

Isn't the purpose of a split slider to ease in the installation so the swing arm does not have to be dropped?

Yes the old one was removed.

This pic is from the back end of it, you can see the gap that is there.

when i had a stock swing arm i had a tm designs slip over one like your talking about and i did not have to remove anything... are you sure this one says that its made for stock swingers?

I had to remove the inside bushing that the stock chain slider rides on. So I had to drop the swing arm. After that was removed the Mooose one went on like a champ.

Here is the little bastard
