traxx2003
Hello everyone! Ok, I now that to synch your carbs basically you need to ensure that both slides are moving at the same time, you also have to ensure that both carbs idle at the same level (hard to do unless you have a synchronometer) and also check to ensure that when you are @ WOT you can see the "silver dot" thru the carbs glass window. But has anybody here ever do "mid throttle" adjustments? Like this you tube video shows: Any thoughts?

jlsparky7
If you have the sync tool then go for it...
camatv
ole wes! this is how i do it. FIRST i use a squirrel cage synchrometer. only tool on thats worth a shit in my mind for these. i eyeball them and get them at least close THEN start it SET the idle first. this is very important. get the bike to idle decent and the synch # the same. THEN open t he throttle just a tad and check that with th e tool this will be the actual synch of the carb's and cable. get that perfect then you should have it done on stock carbs kill it and then hold wide open and just make sure the slides clear the bores of the carbs. when you get this right the bike will sound great smoke the same out of both pipes and midrange and off idle throttle response will be nice as long as your jeting in good. X2 No need to adjust at WOT. The pull position of the carbs will be the same throughout. I'd hate to have to try and set them at WOT with the sync tool! Wow!
