EZ2FLEE Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 At the moment the Banshee is running 93 pump, 20cc domes, aggressive trail port, +4 timing, stock carbs, stock crank, wiseco pro lights, noss machine cool head......... Ok my question would the stock crank hold up to 19cc domes on 110 and say a 32mm carb setup would the stock crank hold up? I'm at 1200ft any suggestions? Quote
bigblockbanshee Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 If you had to ask then you already have doubts and you know there's a possibility of it slipping or splitting especially with your mods. Of course this can also happen with a bone stock engine but if it were mine I'd seize the opportunity to make sure everything about the engine is kosher while having your crank sent off, inspected, and welded just for extra insurance. That's just my opinion though. Quote
EZ2FLEE Posted September 6, 2011 Author Report Posted September 6, 2011 Who's the best to send it to? I'm not lookin to get a cobble job.... Probably gonna get a billet 2nd gear while I'm at it Quote

Hit him up, tell him Zach sent you. Quote

Probably gonna get a billet 2nd gear while I'm at it second gear is not going to be an issue unless ur packing a 16mill with nitrous ur secong gear should work fine a welded crank is somthing u should really consider who trail ported it. a 4mill is going to be a better use of ur money than a billet 2nd gear. with the 4mill you will gain tons of bottom end and torque witch is need for trail riding. EZ2FLEE Posted September 9, 2011 Author Report Posted September 9, 2011 If it wasn't already ported for stock stroke I would consider a 4mill, its fine as it is for a trail bike Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 None of the above is needed. I've seen cranks in 70 hp bikes last for many many years and a few didnt. U definately don't need the 2nd gear. Spend that money on beer. Quote

A stock crank is very strong once it has been trued and welded. As long as you are running a stock stroke motor, you should not need the billet 2nd gear. Quote
EZ2FLEE Posted September 9, 2011 Author Report Posted September 9, 2011 Cool It's all more or less a peace of mind thing Quote
