is there an easy way or trick to getting the wrist pin clip on??? a tool maybe?? a local buddist?? drivin me crazy :confused:

just pinch the clip with the gap infront, make sure the clip gap is away from the recess on the piston (where you get it out from) push the clip in on and angle in the hole, and push it in then push the bottom of the clip into the groove.

I got a trick to getting them in with only a small flat head,but i cant really describe it,i would have to do a video

a vid would be cool,, theses things are giving me grey hairs,,,, thats my daughters job

pinch with fingers? or needle nose??

I got these for 1$ at .... The Dollar Store. Yeah, they aren't Kobalt but they work just fine.

On a cereal note, they are simple to install.

 

Wedge the center of the clip into the piston groove. Squeeze the gap end with your fingers. Press the clip "ends" in as far as you can. Then with a small pocket flat blade, just finish installing the clip. Make sure you hear it SNAP. An improperly seated clip will absolutely destroy your motor.

 

And always cover the crankcase with a rag so you don't drop the clip inside the motor.
