BansheeBoy96 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Pissed off cant get my Banshee tuned right two into one carb she won't idle....bout to say F it n go 4 stroke just got rebuild compression n everything right.....just won't idle Quote
bigblockbanshee Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 What all mods are you running? I'd say get rid of that 2-1 setup and put some good carbs on there. As long as the carb(s) is/are clean and synced, you have good spark and clean plugs, you have good fuel, and are getting ample air for it there's not one reason it shouldn't run. Oh, and this all provided you don't have an air leak somewhere. I know this is all pretty basic and obvious but it's really a simple system. Going to a 4-poke would be the last thing I'd do unless it were a big 700+ cc utility but that's just me. Quote
Trueblown Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 I just got rid of my built yfz450 that had EVERYTHING done to it and it was a pain and a nightmare chasing problems and valve adjustments all the time. But it was 14:1 comp cammed and all. Banshee are much simpler beast! I would redo topends way before valve adj ever again lol Quote

Do you have stock carbs? Tors removed? Quote
Dicklez Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 It just won't idle? Do you have stock carbs? Tors removed? He has the 2 into 1. I think if you had an air leak it would rev to high. Dont get rid of it! Go back to dual carbs. Quote

sangheraent Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 I have been too the point where I had my banshee on sale for some time and I am very thankful that it didn't sell. I have had every problem in the book ruined 3 dunes trips for me but now that she is running great man it is the best bike I have ridden. Trust me its worth it. Quote
BansheeBoy96 Posted July 24, 2011 Author Report Posted July 24, 2011 Yea its gettin frustrating trying to tune tha dam thang.....some one told me go up on the pilot tryed it think its worst.....the plugs looked good with a 190 main but it was a lil rich so i went to a 188main made it a lil more crispier but still not right won't idle n alot of white smoke coming from exhaust........it has a 52 pilot and a 188 main Dont know bout the needle couldnt get it right... Trueblown Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Drop pilot size. Probably loading up Quote
LS3 Machine Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 I don't know what your budget is, but I LUV my Keihin PWK 28s. Bolted them on, started 2nd kick, easy to jet, and pulls smoothly. Nobody with a fast Banshee seems to have a single carb setup, and everyone that has years of experience with the Banshee uses dual carb setups. Good luck and keep us posted on your results. Quote
BansheeBoy96 Posted July 24, 2011 Author Report Posted July 24, 2011 Yea i think its leading up......if i clean carbs empty bowls put back together Shee idles for a lil while then loads up Quote
