after opening the side case i found the idle gear washer stuck in the clutch.. now the idle gear seems a little wobbly, and i cant get the washer and the circ clip on together.. should the idle gear have a little play?? should it be difficult the put the washer and circ clip on?? any help would be greatly apreciated..

The idler gear should have NO play. The worn out busing caused your idler gear to wobble, which in turned caused it to kick off the washer and clip.

You need a new washer, bushing and clip.

Call FAST Racing. 785-364-5325. They will have everything you need in stock.

Not all cranks come with the nub so it's probably fine.

You're lucky there was no major damage, have heard some horror stoies about it here. Also lucky you can repair it, on my son's the PO welded the washer to the shaft banghead , presume the clip groove was fubar.

actualy the clip was still clipped on,, the groove seems ok,,just the washer came off

could be a aftermarket bearing......either that or are you sure that its a wear mark? or are you looking at the groove that's notched out of the cases for a bearing with a nub?
