stock carbs

Recommended Posts

did you disassemble them one at a time or did you do them both at the same time? The reason i ask is because the carbs actually have side specific pieces......so you could have accidently switched the carb bowls by mistake. The bowl with the little brass bead in it goes on the choke side carb....

Is all you did was take it apart and clean it? Check that your pilot air jet is set right 1.5-2 turns out. Float heights good? Your carbs getting fuel?

Also, there are other things other than the carbs that can keep you ride from running / idling.

Do you have the TORS or no TORS? Carbs sync'd? Lots of things to look into. Get yourself a Clymer manual and start going down the list or need alot more info than you have provided to be able to help.

Is the tors box unplugged? If you have parking brake unplug it's brain. After all this start ohming alll electrical, check switches, check pick-up coil gap. How is flywheel key? Are poles on stator clean of rust? Check all grounds are clean/tite. Check/clean all wire connections.

Did you put pilot jets back in carb? Main jet washer? Slosh baffel? Did you set float level? Did you reset idle air screws?
