SheezFast02 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 I'm pulling my carbs off to install easy throttle springs and new intakes so I thought it would be a good time to change out the needles I'm currently running. I bought these PWK's with these "nape" needles and although I've got my bike running really well, I'm sure switching out the needles with another choice would remedy the very slight bog I'm experiencing from 0-1/4 throttle. I can't find anything regarding a Banshee running a "nape" needle so I'm sure there's something better for my bike. I may even have to drop one more size on my pilot, but I'd like to switch to a more common needle anyway. This bike pulls hard in the mid-range right through the top, but feels like it's lack just a bit down low. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Mods are: Fattys, PWK 28's, 45 pilot, 148 main, Air screw 2.5 turns out, K&N w/ pro-flo adapter, Rad-Valves, 300' ASL, approx 25c, 135psi both cylinders. 36:1 Amsoil w/ 91. Quote
locogato11283 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 I think most people are running DGK or CEL needles. Those are the two I can remember clearly off the top of my head. Quote
SandmanPNW Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 If it is for the 28pwks listed in your sig. then you want a n68a needle. Quote
SheezFast02 Posted July 10, 2011 Author Report Posted July 10, 2011 Thanks for the help guys. Should work much better with the new needles. Quote
Pasi S. Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 If I were you, I would also buy a smaller pilots and some main jets to make the final adjustments with your new needles. -Pasi S. Quote
