Ingram306 Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 So i think im ready for a new shit lever, the rubber tip on the stock one is all but gone, and i missed a few shifts the other day because my mx boots kept slipping off. Kinda pissed me off a little. So i have been looking around and i like the look of the pro design aluminum , my only concern is how do they hold up? The aluminum going over the steel splines seems like it would strip. I tend to be a little rough on my shifter. I also saw a steel one with a folding tip, made by tusk i believe. Anyone have experience with either of these? Quote
figuare9 Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 You have to think that the aluminum probably isn't "Cast" and it's also sandwiched together by that bolt. You should be fine with the aluminum set up. It's nothing I'd worry about. However, like zwiser said, you can't go wrong with the IMS Quote
06specialedition Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 I run a Tusk one on my wifes bike and so far so good. Every Tusk product I've ran hold up awesome and seem to be great quality. I do really like the Cascade ones as well= http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/newlook/store/store_View.cfm?STORE_AREA_ID=3&store_dept_id=34 Quote
