premixonly Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 So i got a 02 banshee. bored .040 wisco pistons. the bike is stock engin wise. no pipes, no reeds, no cool heads nothing . i know pipes would be my next mod but to buy them new is not in my buget. so i was wondering if someone would have a pair of pipes willing to sell? off topic but, i read some forums and there is something call'd avancing my timing. what is it ? where can i do it ? and should i do it ? thanks again! robert.b.west Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Check the for sale section. There are always pipes for sale there. Probably could pick some up for around $200-$250. To advance your timing you will need an after market timing plate. I bought a cast one on ebay for like $35 shipped I think. (It was a while ago) It works great. You will need to buy a flywheel puller to get your flywheel off. They are like $10. The mod is definately worth it. Quote

robert.b.west Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Degree keys are not a good idea. They are known to shear off. Get the timing plate it is worth the extra $15. Quote
